Beginning
When the aircraft appears, it is in the off state. To start the engines, press V for a few seconds until the engine speed stabilizes at 750 rpm. Now you are ready to fly.
How To Fly:
When the aircraft is on the runway, press U to set the flaps to the take-off position. Then increase the gas with T while holding Y to hold the position (Rb when using the Xbox controller). Release the brakes when the engine maintains a steady speed of 2400 rpm.
Carefully lift the plane and let it take off on its own, it should rise above the ground at a speed above 100 mph, if not, lift a little more, but be careful not to fall below 100 mph, the plane will lose lift and stall.
If the climb rate is positive, lift the chassis by pressing N on the keyboard and level off by driving around obstacles to gain speed. At this point, lift the flaps by pressing U again and reduce the gas to 85% or lower, this will prevent the engines from overheating. The maximum flight speed is about 340 mph. Anything above may cause damage to the aircraft structure and loss of control. Avoid maneuvering with a full deviation at speeds over 200 miles per hour, as this may damage the structure.
Boarding:
Reduce the power to 20% and when you reach 170 mph, press N to release the chassis.
and U for a single release of the flaps to the landing position. This will slow the plane down to about 140 mph. When you are on the runway, press G until the engine idles. Climb up to maintain a gradual descent rate.
If the flight speed drops below 130 mph, press T to increase power, and then G again to resume planning. Expand before landing to avoid damage to the wheel or gear rack. Aim to land at 110 mph. Once on the runway, press Y to activate the wheel brakes, if necessary. The aircraft will brake by 85% on its own when the throttle is at 0%, at lower speeds it will gradually brake with a braking pressure of 15%.
Taxiing:
Taxiing is done by reducing the RPM to 1000 by pressing the sharp key under the plus and opening the throttle by about 5% to keep the speed below 30 mph. For sharp turns, it is necessary to increase the gas, try to be as careful as possible and try to avoid long periods of movement. acceleration, as the aircraft quickly reaches high speeds. As in real life, there is no steering with the front wheel, so wheel brakes are needed to turn at low speeds. To make a full 180 degree turn, reduce the speed to 10 km/h, set the throttle to 20%, turn the steering wheel completely to the left or right. The aircraft will turn on a locked wheel, and the nose wheel will tilt. After turning, make sure that the nose wheel is straight, taxiing a few meters forward.
Bombing:
Select 4 500 lb bombs in the Ordinance slot in the Ctrl-W parts menu. Open the bomb bay doors with and press . Drop bombs one at a time. Bombs will go off in the air at a certain distance from the aircraft, but they can still be close enough to cause damage, so ensure sufficient height to prevent an explosion. The bomb will explode after you fly over the target.
For Advanced Users:
The aircraft has an active control of the speed of rotation of the propeller, the speed at initialization is about 2400 rpm. The best speed for performance during takeoff and landing. It is controlled by the keyboard keys + and ‘ . For better taxiing, it is recommended to reduce the speed to 1000 rpm, there is no need to use this function for short-term taxiing, but it helps to reduce speed and increase control over the turn of the aircraft on the ground.
Other use cases include reducing heating in cruising mode by reducing propeller rpm to 1,700 rpm and adjusting the throttle by about 55%.
In Version 7.0 (12.02.24):
Today is the day of updating this mod. Many systems and JBeam have been redesigned. Converting Materials to PBR, fixing several serious Lua bugs and adding 20 new configurations. Improved constant speed screw with speed control.
