Many studies show the possibility of increasing yields by improving seed-soil contact during germination. This is exactly what can be achieved using a John Deere 200 bar roller coupled with a cultivator. Press rollers with a diameter of 35 cm are installed in a checkerboard pattern and have up to 5 sections. Round spiral bars break up clods and prevent crusting on the surface, while keeping the surface hard enough to retain moisture in the seeding area.
