Description
Corona Municipal Airport – KAJO
The default scenery for Corona Municipal Airport has absolutely nothing. See attached photo.
This add-on brings life to the airport, including hangars, static aircraft, cars, fencing, etc. In real life, the hangars are pretty generic and most look alike. However, future versions will include coloring on the hangars to look more realistic. Lighting of the taxiways is as close as possible to real life. There are real to life light towers for night lighting.
I decided to leave the aprons as they appear in satellite imagery instead of putting the more common concrete material down. Please comment below which you prefer.
Work in Progress
This is still a work in progress (WIP – version 0.7). There are several buildings missing in the center of the airport. Some buildings are not aligned with the ground. Fencing and concrete barriers are still going up around the perimeter – see construction areas. The entrance to the airport is still in rough shape.
If there is anyone who knows the airport well, please let me know what needs changing. And if there are any good Blender modelers who can help with certain buildings, that would be a big help, as I am pretty weak with Blender.
Surrounding Scenery
Be sure to download my scenery file which fixes the excess water at Prado Reservoir and other issues nearby the airport: Prado Reservoir and Corona Improvement
