MSFS 2020 Tool Mod: Jaydee´s Make Your OWN Face A Pilot Mod

Use this Mod Template to bring your own face into the simulator and/or change the colors of the clothing.

Unzip the Folder “ZZZZ ….” into the community Folder. You can then actually change the name of this folder, but don´t touch the names of the files and folders within.
Navigate to (MOD Foldername/SimOjects/Humans/Texture and open the respective Head file for your gender and phenotype. You need software that can open DDS files, for instance, freeware like paint.net or gimp. Add your face/photo as a second layer and make the layer multiplicative so you can arrange your face over the original. Then merge the layers and save the dds file (BC7 sRGB).

  1. This worked and it’s a nice personal touch to the game! It’s important to save as DDS, not to save as PNG and later rename the extension. However I can’t make out much of my facial features because the in-game model uses large sunglasses, headphones with mic and a cap. Also, the model in the menu is not affected by the mod, so the only way to test is to start a flight.

    1. Are you updated to SU9 while using this mod? I can’t seem to get it to work with the SU9 update. It worked fine in the last version.
