Description

The Lotus 72D was one of the most outstanding Formula 1 cars of the early 1970s. It is best known for Emerson Fittipaldi, who drove for the Lotus team during the championship-winning 1972 season. Visually, it looked lower, sharper, and more modern than many of its competitors. The wedge-shaped body, side radiators, inboard brakes, and compact layout were all designed to improve aerodynamics, balance, and overall configuration. It was powered by a 3.0-liter Ford Cosworth DFV V8 engine producing about 420 л.с. at approximately 10,000 об/мин, and weighed about 550 кг.
On the track, the 72D was light, responsive, aerodynamically efficient for its time, and demanding at the limits of its capabilities. It rewards smooth and precise driving and has virtually no tolerance for sudden movements. Its design helped lay the foundation for the next generation of Formula 1 cars.

Note:
Keyboard controls are not recommended. This car requires smooth and precise use of the brakes, throttle, and steering, and keyboard controls provide very little feedback.
