WHEN RIDING AT LOW SPEED
The motorcycle will maintain a speed of about 9–10 mph if you accelerate to that speed and hold the throttle slightly (holding the rear brake and applying a little more throttle may be easier); when it is moving at this speed, it will countersteer, allowing for very sharp turns. However, be careful when releasing the throttle to drop below this speed; if you do so while leaning, you may fall.
This motorcycle is equipped with manual throttles on early models and cold-start rev limiters on later models. Use the link above to adjust the throttle to prevent stalling in cold weather, and use the “individual ignition system” and set the “cold limit” to 0 in the settings menu if you want to remove the cold-start RPM limit.
IF THE REAR END BECOMES UNSTABLE AND WOBBLES OR SKIDS
You can stabilize the rear end using engine braking (release the throttle and shift to a lower gear if possible) or by applying the rear brake (hold the parking brake). If this is a recurring issue with your setup or driving style, try installing a racing shock absorber and adjusting the damping values to your preference.
In Version 1.17:
The first major new feature is the drift configuration. To drift, use second gear or higher (depending on your speed) and keep the throttle at the limit, control your speed with the brakes, turn the steering wheel to slide, and avoid oversteering.
The second major innovation is a full suite of electronic driver assistance systems. ABS and traction control with roll angle adjustment, launch control, quick upshifts and downshifts, as well as an experimental automatic clutch (similar to electronic clutch engagement. Use the realistic transmission mode with the clutch assist system disabled).
The PID controller, suspension, and some damping/stiffness values have been refined; the tires are stiffer, and other minor changes have been made. These changes should significantly improve stability and eliminate swaying at speeds over 200 mph.
The triple engine has also received new sounds, and they now sound much richer.
The parallel twin-cylinder engine also has a new sound (though, when Engine Simulator 3D is released, I will most likely use it to create a completely new sound).
