Download Volumetric Afterfire 0.39 BeamNG.drive Mod

This mod adds a custom 3D flame effect coming out of the exhaust pipe (the “afterfire” effect), implemented using shaders. The effect is highly dynamic and relies on real-world physical parameters obtained from the game engine: the composition of the fuel-air mixture is calculated based on the actual exhaust energy and estimated air flow rate, and the flame temperature depends on the actual exhaust gas temperature. The mod uses the same fuel parameters as those used in the game’s standard effects system. In addition to the standard effect, the mod implements anti-lag and a continuous flame (or a flame that persists by inertia) after the spark is cut off.

Usage
If the mod is activated in the mod manager and enabled on the corresponding page in the “Mods” tab, it will replace the standard effects on all vehicles. You may need to adjust the “Base Diameter” parameter to achieve the desired result.

Notes
Since the exhaust pipe diameter in the 3D model is purely a visual element and is not taken into account by the game engine, the flame size may not immediately match your expectations. Additionally, on some vehicles, the exhaust outlets may be incorrectly positioned or configured, preventing the mod from correctly placing the particle effects. This applies to both stock vehicles and vehicles from third-party mods.
