Initially named the C-1416, the Veraneio was based on Chevrolet’s light truck platform, similar to the American Suburban. However, it was a vehicle created specifically for the Brazilian market, with a unique body design that set it apart.

The Veraneio was designed to be a versatile vehicle, combining the strength of a pickup truck with the space and comfort of a family station wagon. Its four-door body and spacious interior could accommodate up to nine people, making it a popular choice for large families, road trips, and various commercial uses.
