Description

As a collector of New Era fitteds since ’09, it always bothered me that Franklin’s OG hats didn’t look at all like the New Era’s they’re based on.
So, I made some new textures to make them look more like New Eras.

I’ve added OG logos on the sides of each hat and stickers on the upper brims.
Re-named them all in game.
Retextured “LS Red” to be a green cap and renamed it in game to LS Saints.
Replaced the Stank cap with a black Los Santos Pounders one as a Los Vegas Raiders inspired hat.
Added lore friendly sports logos on the back of the sport team hats. (Made a custom batterman logo from scratch for the baseball teams).

Install Instructions:
DLC Install:
Open the “Franklin’s OG Fitted Hats (New Era Inspired) 1.0” zip.

Drag the “franklinsoghats” folder into C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Grand Theft Auto V/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks
Open up OpenIV.
Click on edit mode and go to “C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Grand Theft Auto V/mods/update/update.rpf/common/data”
Find “dlclist.xml” and edit it (You can right click and click edit, or click on it and Ctrl+Enter to edit it).
Copy and paste “dlcpacks:/franklinsoghats/” into your “dlclist.xml”
Click save or press “Enter”.
Done.

I already defragged the dlc, so you don’t have to.

Manual Install:
Put files from “Manual Install Version” into
C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Grand Theft Auto V/mods/x64v.rpf/models/cdimages/streamedpeds_players.rpf/player_one

Note For New Modders:
Never replace vanilla files. Make sure you’re only putting mods into your “mods” folder.
