Little Jacob was voiced by Coolie Ranx, a musician best known for his membership in the third-wave ska bands The Toasters and Pilfers.

Little Jacob is a Jamaican drugs and arms dealer and a high-ranked member of the Yardies, serving as the right-hand man and long-time friend of Real Badman, the leader of his own drug crew and posse. Throughout the game, Little Jacob stands out as a close and trustworthy friend to Niko Bellic, providing some of the earlier missions and aiding Niko during later missions. He ultimately proves to be the closest ally for the Bellic cousins.

Little is known about Jacob’s life prior to Grand Theft Auto IV. He was born in Jamaica, circa 1982. At some point in his life, Jacob met Teafore Maxwell-Davies, who is more commonly referred to as “Badman.” The two became very close friends and eventually formed the posse among the Yardies, a Jamaican gang, going under the names “Little Jacob” and “Real Badman” respectively.

Some time prior to the early 2000s, Jacob and Badman moved to Liberty City. In 2001, they were both arrested for armed robbery. The two were arrested on two additional occasions in subsequent years for different crimes: in 2002, Jacob was arrested for burglary, and in 2006, Badman was arrested for possessing marijuana.

Jacob and Badman continued to build their gang in Liberty City, establishing their base of operations at a café called Homebrew Café in Broker. They also formed partnerships with the known drug baroness Elizabeta Torres and the Latin street gang, the Spanish Lords. Additionally, Jacob and Badman became enemies of the Hustlers gangs, which consisted of several drug dealers in Bohan, and faced opposition from a faction within the Yardies that was opposed to them.

At some point prior to 2008, Jacob became close friends with Roman Bellic, the owner of Express Car Service, a small taxi depot. The pair developed a strong friendship, which later led to Jacob’s introduction to Niko Bellic, marking the beginning of their duo alliance.

Ah, Little Jacob; he has to be one of the most loved characters from GTA IV alongside Niko. I personally find him to be a character that I love and hope they bring back in GTA VI. I can only imagine how they would add him to the environment of Vice City or Florida! From his hard-to-understand dialect to his very chill attitude thanks to the weed, he would make for a fun and nostalgic return if Rockstar chooses to bring him back in the newer title! For now, we can at least enjoy him, Badman, and their voices in GTA V as the duo continues their run in the streets of Los Santos!

He has facial animations that match GTA V‘s base NPC models. However, he does not have cutscene facial animations, as that is a bit tougher to create. I suggest using a mod called Character Swap if you choose to use him for missions or cutscenes.

Installation Instructions

For Addon Ped Version:
Requirements: Install “addonpeds”

Installation:
Add the 4 files “ig_little_jacob” to the addon peds pack. Follow this route:

Grand Theft Auto V / mods / update / x64 / dlcpacks / addonpeds / dlc.rpf / peds.rpf/

Alternatively, you can install it as a replace by renaming the ped to whatever you prefer!
Ex: change the name “ig_little_jacob” to “ig_barry” to replace that model.

For the DLC pack version, place the DLC pack named “littlejacob_badman” into this location within OpenIV:

mods – update – x64 – dlcpacks

Then add this line: dlcpacks:/littlejacob_badman/ to your dlclist.xml located here:

mods – update – update.rpf – common – data

For the optional audio files, place the two in this location within OpenIV:

mods – x64 – audio – sfx – S_MISC.rpf
