Mr. Santo is a loan shark in Liberty City who lends money to Luis’s mother, which she struggles to pay off. Luis assumes, possibly correctly, that Santo also loans money to other people, and as brought up by Luis multiple times, there may be other old ladies.

The debt is paid off when Santo takes Luis to cage fighting with the expectation that the player would take a fall in the third round. The choice of whether to take the fall is left to the player.

If Luis takes a dive, Santo will appear in Adriana Lopez’s life again, helping her with shopping. In a call with Luis, he unsuccessfully asks her not to talk with Santo anymore.

Since Luis is required to take less than 10% damage to achieve 100% gold completion for the mission, which cannot be done if the player chooses to take a dive, it is likely that Santo is canonically supposed to die in “Momma’s Boy.”

Mr. Santo was a character you were made to hate in the beginning of GTA IV’s TBOGT DLC with Luis. Him being a loan shark and going after Luis’s mom for her bad debt was just such a scummy thing to do. Praying on older women who have no means to earn enough money to pay back the debt, he really is just all around bad in every way. I really disliked him when I played TBOGT for the first time.

After the years since GTA IV’s release, I have had the great privilege of porting these characters to GTA V! However, I didn’t do this model. This model was ported to GTA V by a very talented model author on this 5-mods page, going by the name of Terry Kaffarov! A good friend of his reached out to me and informed me that Terry had planned to port all the GTA IV story characters, but he didn’t get to complete this goal due to time, other goals in mind, or life in general.

I plan to pick up where Terry left off and complete his goal, as I have been converting GTA IV models of my own! I was sent this model in particular as I had a few people asking me for him, and Terry’s friend SkUlLiX185 on Discord (now known as Red Harlow6977) has given me permission on Terry’s behalf to upload this model along with one other! I don’t take credit for the port, but I did make him a regular addon ped as opposed to the streamed version that was sent to me. My option tends to be easier for addon ped installation, so I decided to go with it for this upload. Additionally, I added in new specs fitting GTA V along with LODs!

Installation Instructions:
Requirements:
Install “addonpeds.”

Installation:
Add the 4 files “ig_mr_santo” to the addon peds pack.

Follow this route: Grand Theft Auto V / mods / update / x64 / dlcpacks / addonpeds / dlc.rpf / peds.rpf /
Alternatively, you can also install it as a replacement by renaming the ped to whatever you want!
Example: changing the name “ig_mr_santo” to “ig_barry” and replacing that model.

What Is Included In This Mod:

He has his original GTA IV clothing and weights, which have been fitted to work well in GTA V! I added the correct specs and YMT material edits to this model to bring him up to date and make him appear more in tune with the ambient peds in GTA V!

The ped has facial animations that work very well with GTA V! Terry did an amazing job on this part of the model, as it works great for cutscenes! However, it doesn’t work with story peds, as it is not a skeleton made specifically for those.

I have added LODs to this ped, so he can be seen from far away!

This ped model uses the MP freemode skeleton and thus can work with cutscenes and animations that play better for those types of models!

Hope this helps prevent crashes with addon peds if you encounter them!

How To Use:

To spawn or play as the Mr. Santo ped model in-game, enter the model’s name into “spawn ped by model name” via Simple Trainer.
(If you do not have this trainer, type the name in the designated area of your current trainer):

ig_mr_santo

If you use Simple Trainer, you can add the model name to the INI file of Trainer V, so you won’t have to input the name every time in-game!
Just List It Under The Addonpeds Section!

If you decide to use MapBuilder/Map Editor for creating scenes with this character, be sure to add the name to the top of the “ped list” to spawn him for your creations!

Just be sure to credit Terry Kaffarov if you make videos with him and don’t forget to add the video to this mod page for people to watch!
