HIDE BIKE HELMET (No Ground Drop, Binary Switch & Variant Cycling)

Tired of GTA V forcing an ugly helmet onto your head every time you get on a motorcycle? Hate having your character drop a loose helmet prop on the pavement that rolls around like garbage? Ever had other mods or accidental keypresses equip a motorcycle helmet while sitting inside a car?

Hide Bike Helmet gives you complete control. By default, you ride WITHOUT a helmet; the game’s automatic helmet system is completely suppressed. Whenever you want a helmet, hit your hotkey like a light switch to turn it ON. Hit it again to turn it OFF.

Best of all, each time you flip the switch ON, it automatically cycles to a new helmet variant and style (Standard, Motocross, and Full-Face with different liveries/textures)! When you take it off, your character plays the full realistic removal animation, but the helmet cleanly vanishes the split-second it leaves your hand instead of cluttering the street!

Engineered for 100% stability, 0% FPS impact, zero micro-stutters, and zero conflicts with other game systems.

FEATURES
Default State: Without Helmet: You start without a helmet by default. Mount any motorcycle, quad, or bicycle freely without the game forcing an unwanted helmet onto your character.
True Binary Switch (ON / OFF): Press K (fully configurable) to toggle the switch. Turn it ON to equip your helmet; turn it OFF to remove it.
Smart Vehicle Awareness (In-Car Protection): Pressing the hotkey while inside or entering a car, truck, SUV, van, aircraft, or boat will never equip a helmet. If you entered a car while already wearing a helmet, pressing the key cleanly takes it off.
Automatic In-Car Cleanup: Entering an enclosed automobile automatically strips lingering motorcycle helmets and restores your character’s saved hat or cap.
Automatic Variant & Style Cycling: Each time you flip the switch ON, it automatically advances to the next helmet variant, cycling through textures, colors, and styles (Standard, Motocross, and Full-Face).
On-Screen Feedback: Displays a brief, clean subtitle indicator showing the switch state and active variant (e.g. Helmet: ON (Variant 2) / Helmet: OFF).
Clean Ground Drop Prevention: Keeps the realistic vanilla helmet take-off animation while preventing the helmet from hitting the ground. The prop is intercepted and deleted the moment it detaches from your hand.
Hat Restoration: If your character was wearing a regular hat or cap before putting on the helmet, taking the helmet off seamlessly restores your original headwear.
Intelligent Attachment Tracking: Uses ped bone tracking and strict model hash validation—it will never delete nearby world props, trash cans, benches, dropped weapons, or props from other mods.
Comprehensive Helmet Database: Built-in support for all vanilla and DLC helmets (Motorcycle, Motocross, Racing, Scooter, Quad, Pilot/Flight, Combat, Hardhats) plus custom DLC helmets via INI.
Zero Performance Impact: Throttled background checks ensure virtually 0 CPU usage and zero GC lag spikes.
Modifier Key Support: Bind your key with Shift, Ctrl, or Alt to prevent accidental triggers or hotkey conflicts.

INSTALLATION
Make sure you have both Script Hook V and ScriptHookVDotNet installed in your main GTA V directory.
Extract the downloaded archive.
Drag and drop HideBikeHelmet.dll and HideBikeHelmet.ini into your Grand Theft Auto V/scripts/ folder.
(Optional) Open HideBikeHelmet.ini with Notepad to customize your hotkey or preferences.
Launch GTA V and enjoy a clean, customized ride!
