Living LS AIs is a ground-breaking, highly sophisticated ScriptHookVDotNet modification that completely overhauls the pedestrian population of Grand Theft Auto 5. The mod replaces the outdated, static, and pre-written ambient lines of pedestrians with fully dynamic, context-aware, and emotionally responsive artificial intelligence. Operating completely off the game’s main thread to prevent performance drops and rendering stutters, the script assigns unique, randomized personal profiles to every pedestrian in San Andreas. These profiles include unique names, specific jobs, diverse backstories, and temperaments. Players can hold entirely open-ended conversations with these NPCs through keyboard text input or live microphone dictation.
With the release of version 2.1, the modification enters its official, fully stabilized release. This version completely reorganizes core player-to-NPC interactions, introducing a clean proximity camera-focus toggle, a rebuilt GPS-based companion driving system, live gunpoint hostage mechanics, a physical surrender engine, and deep environmental awareness systems.

KEY FEATURES
Dedicated LLaMA 3.3 70B AI Brain
The AI processing engine runs exclusively on the high-performance LLaMA 3.3 70B versatile model via Groq, providing near-instantaneous, context-aligned responses. To ensure consistent gameplay, the script supports multi-key rotation, allowing players to add up to five separate Groq keys in the ini config. If one key is rate-limited, the system seamlessly transitions to the next active key. Older LLM options, including the unstable Gemini LLM, have been removed to eliminate rate-limit errors and slow response times.
Spatial 3D Audio and Voice Synthesis
Voice synthesis is processed asynchronously off-thread to maintain high frame rates. The mod supports single-speaker speech synthesis via UnrealSpeech, as well as highly expressive, emotional speech synthesis via Google Gemini TTS. Under the Google TTS engine, NPCs will interpret and inject emotional inflections directly into their spoken lines, such as laughter, sighs, or whispers, matching the text displayed on screen.
The Physical Surrender System (Aukaat Check)
Consequences are real and visible. If you attack a pedestrian and lower their health below 140, their ego shatters. Instead of continuing to fight or running away instantly, they physically stagger, clutch their chest in agony, and drop to their knees begging for mercy. This state triggers the physical KNEEL or HANDSUP animations. Once a pedestrian is in this defeated state, their combat potential is locked out, preventing them from attacking the player again.
Homie and Accomplice Companion Mechanics
Build relationships over time to unlock progressive loyalty phases. If an NPC reaches maximum trust, players can recruit them using the BECOMEHOMIE command. This action immediately boosts the companion’s maximum health by ten times, arms them with an assault rifle, and programs them to follow and protect you from hostile threats. Alternatively, the ACCOMPLICE command turns them into a silent crime partner who stays nearby and fights alongside you without constantly following your footsteps. The bond can be broken at any moment using the BROKEHOMIE command, restoring the NPC to their normal, neutral state.
Rebuilt Waypoint GPS Lift System
Static location tags have been completely removed. Players simply open their map, drop a pause waypoint, and ask an NPC for a ride. The driver will natively navigate the vehicle to the map GPS coordinates using GTA’s internal pathfinding. Players can dynamically command the driver to speed up using RUSHUP, activate reckless high-speed ramming with ULTRARUSHUP, honk the horn with HONK, or pull over and pause the ride using PAUSELIFT.
Gunpoint Hostage Detection
Aiming a weapon directly at an NPC’s head mid-conversation immediately changes their state. The pedestrian recognizes they are at gunpoint and acts like a hostage. Terrified, they will put their hands up, drop to their knees, or hand over their wallet cash immediately using the GIVEMONEY command, matching their spoken fear.
Upgraded 100-Meter Witness and Crime System

Pedestrians within a massive 100-meter radius track violent player behavior. Firing a weapon, starting a physical brawl, stealing a vehicle, or causing an explosion will trigger nearby NPCs to memorize the event. When approached, they will react live with immediate shock, panic, or anger. They may run away, call the police on their phone, or call armed gang backup. NPCs also recognize if they were the direct victim of a punch, confronting the player specifically about the assault.
Gender-Based Dead Body Awareness
A streamlined engine-level observation system allows NPCs near dead pedestrians to recognize their gender directly. NPCs react organically to discovering a male dead body or a female dead body without accusing innocent bystanders of murder or hallucinating complex familial relationships.
Vehicle, Dirt, and Radio Awareness
Pedestrians dynamically perceive the player’s active vehicle brand, primary color, dirt level, and body damage. They also listen to the active car radio and will roast your music taste based on their specific neighborhood culture, such as a Davis gang member mocking country music or an upscale Rockford Hills resident criticizing heavy rock.
Interior and Scenario Awareness
NPCs are fully aware of their physical surroundings. Dialogue adapts naturally inside Ammu-Nation gun stores, strip clubs, barbershops, or convenience stores. They also recognize and refer to their active in-world scenario, such as jogging, smoking, or working, when approached.
Romanized Hinglish and Animal Soundscapes
Toggle Hinglish mode from the settings menu to experience Romanized Hindi-English hybrid text on screen, paired with Devanagari Hindi voices spoken by the synthesizer. Animals bypass normal speech synthesis. Approaching an animal triggers instinct-driven thought bubbles accompanied directly by native, high-fidelity animal soundscapes.
Balanced Personality and PG-13 Toggle
Pedestrians are assigned a 50/50 personality split. Half of the population is given a Savage temperament, causing them to roast, challenge, or insult the player, while the other half remains polite or helpful. Turning the swearing toggle OFF appends a safety override to the system prompt, causing angry NPCs to bypass profanity in favor of clean, creative insults.
