Description

LSCrime is an ambient crime mod for GTA V Enhanced and Legacy that makes the streets feel alive. Random crimes like muggings, car jackings, kidnappings, store robberies now happen around you as you play.

Crimes happen around you
While you drive or walk around, LSCrime randomly sets up crimes near you. When one starts nearby you will get a blip, a notification and a minimap flash so you know where to look. Some crimes are small, some are big, and some only happen at certain places like ATMs and stores. Suspects don’t just stand there either, they can run, drive off, or fight back if you choose to get involved.

Traffic violators

Red light runner – a driver blows straight through a red light
Reckless driver – speeding and weaving through traffic on city streets and the highway
Drunk driver – swerving all over the road, and might crash or ditch the car and stumble off on foot

Petty crime

Mugging – a pedestrian gets robbed and the mugger runs off with their wallet
Car jacking – someone gets pulled out of their car or held at gunpoint and the car jacker drives off
ATM robbery – someone using an ATM gets held up at gunpoint

Major crime

Kidnapping – a van pulls up and snatches someone off the street, sometimes walked over at gunpoint, sometimes dragged into the back
Store robbery – a robber holds up the clerk and makes a getaway on a bike with their partner
Gang drive-by – a gang car rolls up on a rival gang and opens fire
Armored truck hijack – a crew goes after an armored truck on the road
Street racers – a group of racers racing through the streets

Works with LSPatrol
LSCrime works on its own, but if you have LSPatrol installed and you’re on duty, crimes can be offered to you as a callout. Accept it and they become suspects, chase them, arrest them, call in backup, everything works like a normal LSPatrol callout. Traffic violators can be pulled over with a normal traffic stop.

Requirements

Latest version of GTA V (Enhanced or Legacy), older versions may work but not officially supported
Latest ScriptHookV (http://www.dev-c.com/gtav/scripthookv/)
Optional: LSPatrol v0.5 or later for callouts (https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/lspatrol-police-mod)

Install

Copy LSCrime.asi into your GTA V install folder (next to GTA5_Enhanced.exe or GTA5.exe).
Launch the game, crimes will automatically start happening around you.

Configs
The LSCrime.ini is automatically generated when you load the mod for the first time, you can find it in your GTA V install folder. Turn each crime on or off, change how often they happen during the day and night, turn off the blip, notification or minimap flash, keep crimes out of certain areas (airport, military base, prison and more by default), and choose which crimes get offered to LSPatrol.
