Description
A simple singleplayer script that gives your player a more casual one-handed weapon carry style while holding compatible weapons.
Instead of forcing the movement style at all times, the script only applies it while your character actually has a supported weapon equipped. As soon as you put the weapon away, switch to fists, or use an excluded weapon type, the normal GTA V movement style is restored automatically.
The script can either work automatically whenever you have a weapon equipped, or you can configure it to use a manual toggle key instead.
Features:
- Adds a casual one-handed weapon carry style
- Only activates while a compatible weapon is actually equipped/in hand
- Automatically returns to normal movement when the weapon is put away
- Fists / unarmed movement are never affected
- Optional support for NPCs
- Optional support for grenades / throwable weapons
- Optional support for specifically defined melee weapons
- Automatic mode or manual toggle mode
- Configurable toggle key
- Supports key modifiers such as SHIFT, CTRL and ALT
- Lightweight and optimized
- Fully configurable through an INI file
- No additional animation or DLC pack required
Config Options (INI):
- Enable / disable movement style for the player
- Enable / disable movement style for NPCs
- Enable / disable Always Enabled mode
- Change toggle key (default: Z)
- Change modifier (default: None)
- Enable / disable support for grenades / throwables
- Enable / disable support for supported melee weapons
Example controls: Z SHIFT + Z CTRL + Z ALT + Z
When Always Enabled is set to True, the script automatically activates the movement style whenever you equip a compatible weapon.
When Always Enabled is set to False, you can manually enable or disable the movement style using your configured key. Even while manually enabled, the movement style will still automatically disappear whenever you put your weapon away, then return when you equip a compatible weapon again.
Requirements:
- GTAV Legacy
- Script Hook V
- Script Hook V .NET (🔸Nightly Build🔸)
Using outdated versions of SHVDN may cause crashes. Always use the latest compatible versions!
Installation:
Make sure to delete older versions before installing.
Drop”OneHandedCarry.dll” and “OneHandedCarry.ini” into your GTA V scripts folder.
If you don’t have a scripts folder, create one inside your GTA V root directory.
Done!
Launch the game and equip a compatible weapon.
If Always Enabled is enabled, the movement style will activate automatically.
If Always Enabled is disabled, press Z by default to toggle the movement style.
You Can Change All Settings Inside:
“OneHandedCarry.ini”
Uninstallation:
Remove “OneHandedCarry.dll” and “OneHandedCarry.ini”
Known Bugs:
No major bugs currently known.
Some weapon types may naturally look better with the movement style than others due to GTA V’s original weapon animations.
