What It Does:

This mod brings a layer of realistic observation to your foot beats and traffic stops. As you walk up to vehicles, the plugin quietly checks for subtle details—like driver distractions, posture, interior cabin clutter, and minor exterior wear—and displays them in a clean notification. It gives you realistic, observational cues right when you approach a car, making everyday patrol work feel much more immersive. Lore heavy.

This replaces mods such as Plain Sight. Works with PolicingRedefined, Stop The Ped etc… Designed entirely for pure atmospheric roleplay and immersion; it is fictional and will not result in any actual game changes or plugin-enforced actions.

✨ Features:

Street-Level Details: Notice driver distractions like phones, tablets, or unfastened seat belts, alongside cabin clutter, hanging objects, and vehicle wear within close range:

Common Findings: Includes unfastened seat belts, mobile phone or tablet distractions, littering, objects hanging from the rearview mirror, etc.

Uncommon Findings: Includes specialized schedules, missing interior door handles, employee badges with redacted text, or faint chemical odors, etc.

Rare Findings: Includes severe signs of tampering such as shattered steering columns with heavy shunts, scraped registration stickers, blood-stained jewelry boxes, fresh bruises, cut knuckles, etc.

Driver Behavior: Highlights subtle physical cues, nervous body language, and posture during your approach to build situational awareness before formal contact.

Vehicle & Occupant Awareness: Dynamically separates logic between cars and motorcycles, as well as whether a vehicle is occupied or unoccupied.

Default Trigger Frequency: Triggers roughly 1 out of every 9 vehicles for standard cars, and about 1 out of every 6 vehicles for motorcycles during close-range observations.

Smart Filtering: Automatically ignores emergency vehicles and service traffic. One time trigger chance per vehicle.

Fully Customizable: Adjust distances, chances, and settings via the .ini file.

⚠️ Compatibility Note:

It is strongly suggested that you do not use Visual Probable Cause along side Plain View Observations at the same time.

📦 Installation:

Before proceeding, it is strongly recommended that you open and review the configuration file included in the download package to adjust your preferences ahead of time.

Drop PlainViewObservations.dll into your Grand Theft Auto V /plugins/lspdfr/ folder.
