Story NUI is a free resource by WreckD LLC for creating HTML, CSS and JavaScript interfaces in GTA V story mode.

It provides a Chromium browser host, transparent Direct3D 11 rendering, a C# SDK and a JavaScript bridge. Developers can create menus, HUDs and notifications, send game data to their interface, and handle interface callbacks in their game script.

This is a development framework. The main resource does not open a menu by itself. An optional Showcase sample demonstrates what you can build.

Showcase sample

Includes a live protagonist HUD with health, armor, speed, game time and wanted level. Its menu demonstrates map waypoints, time and weather controls, vehicle repair, custom notifications, and saved display settings.

F8: Open or close the Showcase menu.
F9: Toggle the HUD while the menu is closed.
Escape: Close the menu.

Requirements

GTA V Enhanced / Direct3D 12 compatibility has not been established. This is a story-mode resource; it does not run FiveM resource scripts.

Installation
Install the requirements separately.
Extract the release ZIP and merge its main scripts folder into your GTA V installation.
Place StoryNui into the root of your GTA V installation folder.
To enable the optional Showcase, merge examples/Showcase/install/scripts into the game’s scripts folder.
Restart GTA V.

The separate SDK/renderer source package is for inspection and local compilation. It is not a complete playable installation.

Known limitations
One Story NUI surface is displayed at a time.
Controller navigation is not included in this version.
Automatic browser crash recovery is not included.
This is a beta release; compatibility with other mods may vary.
