Wanted Reworked is a mod that adds more depth to the GTA V wanted system, expanding it with new features and ideas inspired by RDR2 and GTA VI.

This is a list of major features included:

Crime and witnesses:

Cops will no longer automatically know your full character and vehicle description after a crime gets reported.
If you commit crimes without being seen by any witnesses, the wanted stars will display as empty, indicating that cops won’t recognize you when they see you.
Staying the near crime scene or acting suspiciously will raise the cops’ suspicion meter (blue arrow on the hud). Once it reaches 100% you will be recognized (at that point the wanted stars will become fully white like usual)
Keeping a low profile will allow you to slip away from the cops easily even right under their noses.
Witnesses who see you committing a crime will remember your character description and report it to the cops (which will allow the cops you recognize you).
Even after you are recognized, cops still won’t immediately spot you the moment you enter their line of sight.

Identification and warrants:

After spotting you, cops will begin to memorize and remember your character and vehicle description.
Identification is not instantaneous: cops will need some time to identify your character and vehicle. The closer you are to the cops, the faster they will identify you.
Character identification is split in two parts: clothes (50% identification) and face (100% identification).
Red icons under the wanted HUD will show which parts of your character were identified.
Once identified, cops will still remember your character or vehicle after you lose the wanted level, and they will give chase again if you are recognized.
After losing the wanted level, blue stars and icons will appear on the HUD, indicating your previous wanted level and which aspects of your character/vehicle were identified.
Changing your character’s and/or vehicle’s appearance will make it harder for the cops to recognize you.

Threat escalation:

Cops will behave accordingly based on your hostility and will try to arrest you more often.
If you haven’t been using weapons or attacking anyone, cops will use non-lethal weapons against you. Being tased by a cop, will cause your immediate arrest.
Drawing a weapon or being hostile towards other peds will make cops draw their weapons against you (a grey weapon icon will appear on the HUD).

While at guns drawn, resisting arrest will force them to use deadly force regardless of your lack of hostility (the weapon icon will turn white, indicating that the use of lethal force is authorized).
If you haven’t been hostile for while, you will be given an option to surrender (though this will not be available at 5 stars).
The police chase behavior has also been improved: cops won’t use any aggressive chase moves until lethal force gets authorized, and even after that, they will no longer ram you randomly and will instead try to block you or use pit maneuvers.
Witnesses can also report any hostile behavior to the cops.

Quality of life patches:

The script includes some patches that fix and improve a few things in the wanted system.
Cops are now allowed to arrest you from any vehicle (including bikes).
All crimes now require being witnessed and reported to the cops (they are no longer reported immediately upon getting a wantel level).
The time to report all crimes has been increased from 5 to 10 seconds.
Cops can now arrest you at any wanted level above 1 star.
