Description
The 2024 Kia Picanto GT-Line, rebuilt for GTA V from the source model: the real car’s LED lights, opening doors, full damage on GTA V’s own crash structure, and two licence plates. An add-on you spawn by name, plus an optional traffic version.
Features
The real car’s LED lights, mapped from night photos of the real car: tail, brake, indicator, reversing and plate lamps light up in their real shape, every front LED lights with the headlights.
Four doors, the tailgate and the bonnet open.
GTA V damage: dents, bumpers and a bonnet that come off with an engine bay behind them, lamps that break, windows that shatter in their frames.
Detailed interior with the digital cluster and screen, tinted glass, and a driver’s seat set for a real driving position.
A random colour on every spawn, from 8 colours of the real Picanto range. Shows as “Picanto” in the game.
Handling set from the real Picanto 1.0 T-GDi (about 1,000 kg, front-wheel drive, 5 gears).
Distance models (LODs) for traffic.
Two licence plates in one download: LiorMods (default) or an Israeli plate.
Install with LML (the easy way)
Install Lenny’s Mod Loader (LML) if you don’t have it
Copy the folder “LiorMods – Kia Picanto 2024” into the “lml” folder of your GTA V.
Start the game and spawn the model: picanto24 (in Menyoo: Vehicle Spawner > Input Model).
Traffic version (optional): also copy “LiorMods – Kia Picanto 2024 – Traffic” from “Optional – Traffic version” into lml. Every Dilettante in traffic becomes a Picanto. No trainer needed.
Israeli plate (optional): copy picanto24.ytd from “Optional – Israeli plate” over the one in lml/LiorMods – Kia Picanto 2024/stream (traffic version: dilettante.ytd into its replace folder).
Manual install (without LML: the classic add-on dlcpack with OpenIV)
Use LML or the manual install, not both: if “LiorMods – Kia Picanto 2024” is in your lml folder, delete it from there first. Every file is ready in the zip folder “Manual install (without LML)”, in 4 folders named after where they go (A, B, C, D). Take the files only from there. The same steps are in README.txt.
What you will build: one file, mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/picanto24/dlc.rpf, that looks like this inside:
content.xml and setup2.xml, at the top of dlc.rpf
common/data: carcols.meta, carvariations.meta, handling.meta, vehicles.meta
x64/vehicles.rpf (an RPF archive): picanto24.yft, picanto24_hi.yft, picanto24.ytd
x64/data/lang/americandlc.rpf (an RPF archive): global.gxt2
Folder or RPF archive? Right-click > New > Folder makes a plain folder. Right-click > New > RPF archive makes an archive, a file that holds files. vehicles.rpf and americandlc.rpf must be RPF archives: a folder with that name does not work. Everything else you create is a folder.
Before you start: close the game. In OpenIV: Tools > ASI Manager > install ASI Loader and OpenIV.ASI (only once). Click Edit mode at the top of OpenIV and confirm.
Part 1 – the car (dlc.rpf)
In OpenIV go to: Grand Theft Auto V > mods > update > x64 > dlcpacks. A folder is missing? Create it: right-click > New > Folder.
In dlcpacks: right-click > New > Folder, name it picanto24. Double-click it to go in.
Right-click > New > RPF archive, name it dlc.rpf. Double-click it to go in: you are now inside dlc.rpf, and it is empty.
Drag in the 2 files from folder A (content.xml, setup2.xml). They stay here, at the top of dlc.rpf, not inside any folder.
Right-click > New > Folder, name it common, go in. New > Folder, name it data, go in. Drag in the 4 files from folder B.
Go back up to the top of dlc.rpf (where content.xml and setup2.xml are). New > Folder, name it x64, go in.
In x64: right-click > New > RPF archive (NOT Folder), name it vehicles.rpf. Go in and drag in the 3 files from folder C.
Go back up to x64. New > Folder, name it data, go in. New > Folder, name it lang, go in.
In lang: right-click > New > RPF archive (NOT Folder), name it americandlc.rpf. Go in and drag in global.gxt2 from folder D.
Compare dlc.rpf with the list under What you will build. All there? Part 1 is done.
Part 2 – tell the game about it (only once)
In OpenIV go to: Grand Theft Auto V > update > update.rpf > common > data. If OpenIV asks to copy update.rpf to the mods folder, click Yes (it takes a minute).
Open dlclist.xml. Near the end, copy the last Item line of the list, paste it as a new line just below it, and change the pack name in it to picanto24, so the new line reads dlcpacks:/picanto24/ inside its Item tags. Save.
Close OpenIV before you start the game.
Start the game and spawn the model: picanto24 (Menyoo: Vehicle Spawner > Input Model). When you get in, the game shows “Picanto”.
Not working?
picanto24 not found: content.xml and setup2.xml must be at the top of dlc.rpf, vehicles.rpf must be an RPF archive (not a folder), and the dlclist.xml line must be there.
The name shows NULL: americandlc.rpf must be an RPF archive with global.gxt2 in it.
The game freezes while loading: close OpenIV before you start the game, delete content.xml and setup2.xml inside dlc.rpf and drag them in again from folder A.
Israeli plate: replace picanto24.ytd inside vehicles.rpf with the one from “Optional – Israeli plate”. The traffic version installs with LML only. Uninstall: delete mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/picanto24 and the dlclist.xml line.
Requirements
GTA V for PC, Legacy edition (tested on 1.0.3889), Story Mode only. Never use mods in GTA Online.
Lenny’s Mod Loader (tested on 0.4), or OpenIV for the manual install.
To spawn the add-on: a trainer such as Menyoo, which needs Script Hook V. The traffic version needs no trainer.
Not tested on GTA V Enhanced. No game file is changed: delete the folder and the game is as it was.
Notes
Detailed model: about 405,000 triangles up close, 27 MB with its distance models.
Only one mod can replace the Dilettante: keep one traffic version (this one or the Autotel’s).
Screenshots taken in the plain game: no ReShade, no ENB, no graphics mods.
