Description
If you are tired of the rat race, this is the mod for you. Depending on your play style, you may not want to spend much time focusing on your Sims’ career paths. Sometimes, you want Sims that don’t have a career but rather just a job.
SteadyJobs are a set of 25 one-level careers with no advancement (and no overmax). They are a variety of blue- and white-collar jobs, with salaries that range between §4000 and §10,000 a week. While none have requirements, each has a disqualifier (a trait that will render a Sim ineligible for the job).
Here is each job, with its hours per day, days per week, hours per week, simoleons per hour, simoleons per week, job title, and disqualifying trait:
- 7 4 28 357 10000 Program Manager High School Dropout (not available to Young Adults)
- 7 4 28 348 9750 Program Analyst High School Dropout (not available to Young Adults)
- 6 5 30 317 9500 Banker Childish
- 6 5 30 308 9250 Program Associate High School Dropout
- 7 4 28 321 9000 Real Estate Agent Self-absorbed
- 7 4 28 313 8750 Program Assistant High School Dropout
- 6 5 30 283 8500 Property Manager Squeamish
- 8 4 32 258 8250 Project Manager High School Dropout
- 8 4 32 250 8000 Plumber Fear of Swimming
- 9 3 27 287 7750 Project Analyst High School Dropout
- 6 5 30 250 7500 Electrician Goofball
- 9 3 27 269 7250 Project Associate High School Dropout
- 6 5 30 233 7000 Optician Loner
- 9 4 36 188 6750 Project Assistant High School Dropout
- 8 4 32 203 6500 Secretary Dislikes Hardworking Sims
- 9 4 36 174 6250 Hair Stylist Bro
- 9 4 36 167 6000 Flight Attendant Socially Awkward
- 7 5 35 164 5750 Security Guard Kleptomaniac
- 9 4 36 153 5500 Barber Dislikes Small Talk
- 7 5 35 150 5250 Factory Worker Clumsy
- 7 5 35 143 5000 Truck Driver Dislikes Americana Music
- 7 5 35 136 4750 Construction Worker Dislikes Handiness
- 9 5 45 100 4500 Driver Erratic
- 8 5 40 106 4250 Dock Worker Dislikes Fitness (available to Teens)
- 8 5 40 100 4000 Maintenance Worker Slob (available to Teens)
If the salaries seem a tad high, remember this is the first and the last level of the career (with no overmax available); this is as much as the Sim will EVER earn at the job.
A few of the upper jobs are such that you’d expect their holders to have college degrees. Rather than require in-game University degrees (which would be a bit silly for a mod designed to relieve you from climbing the career ladder), a Sim who takes one of the jobs will be automatically granted a university diploma when they do.
I hope you find these jobs a fun alternative that enables your play style.
