BassBox is a local music player for BeamNG.drive. Add your own audio files to the mod folder, scan your library, and play music in your car using either the full-screen player or the compact radio panel. By default, sound is output through BeamNG’s two spatial sound sources, located to the left and right of the car.

• The BassBox music player features a full-screen interface with player, library, and settings screens.
• BassBox Radio—a compact control panel for playback and volume; it can be expanded to view the playlist and audio settings.
• Library scanner for .mp3, .ogg, .wav, and .flac files located in the art/sound/bassbox folder and its subfolders. Scanning covers up to 8 levels of nested folders and supports a list of up to 500 tracks.
• Features for selecting a track, searching by title or file path, skipping (previous/next), as well as shuffle and repeat modes.
• Ability to manually enter the path to an audio file in the full-screen player.
• Three audio output options: standard BeamNG 3D spatial audio (via door speakers), stereo DSP, and WebAudio 3D spatial equalizer (beta version). The Bass EQ function (low-frequency adjustment) is an active low-shelf filter with a cutoff frequency of approximately 90 Hz and a gain of up to +18 dB; available in DSP modes.
• “Door Speakers” mode: playback through two standard BeamNG 3D sources (one on each side of the car). In this mode, the equalizer is unavailable, as the standard playback mechanism does not allow audio filters to be applied within this mod.
• Volume and balance (left/right) controls, interface in Polish and English, and the ability to save settings.
• Low-frequency FFT analysis with real-time display of frequency and energy data, as well as a physical controller capable of affecting the corresponding nodes of the windows or chassis. The upper frequency limit of the analysis is adjustable from 45 to 140 Hz.
• Simulation of sound attenuation in a closed cabin and real-time monitoring of the status of the camera, doors, and windows. Vehicle data (if available) is used to determine the status.

Installation:

• Place the archive in the mods folder
• Open the archive and place the music file inside at the path art/sound/bassbox. I left one song there as an example.
• In the game, add the mod to the screen; in the Library tab, click “scan,” and you’re all set.
• Enjoy the bass!
