H-Reg Speed Limiter Mod for BeamNG.drive 🚗

This mod adds an easy-to-use H-Reg speed limiter to BeamNG.drive. It was originally created with Swedish EPA/A-traktor vehicles in mind, but it works with any vehicle in BeamNG.drive, including modded vehicles.

The mod lets you set and adjust a vehicle’s maximum speed directly in-game, without editing vehicle files or JBeam.

🚦 What can you do?

With the H-Reg Speed Limiter, you can:

• Set a custom speed limit for any vehicle.
• Increase or decrease the speed limit directly in-game.
• Turn the H-Reg limiter ON or OFF whenever you want.
• Use it with both BeamNG’s original vehicles and modded vehicles.
• Change the speed limit without modifying the vehicle itself.
• Use configurable keybinds for quick adjustments.
• Choose the controls that work best for you in BeamNG’s settings.

This means you can use the same H-Reg system on practically any vehicle — whether you’re driving a Volvo 740, a truck, a sports car, or a completely custom mod.

⚙️ Easy to use

The mod is designed to be simple and convenient.

You don’t need to edit JBeam files, modify vehicle configurations, or create special versions of your vehicles just to use a speed limiter.

Everything can be controlled directly in-game, making it easy to turn the limiter on or off and change the speed limit whenever you want.

🎮 Customizable controls

The main functions have configurable keybinds, allowing you to choose whatever keys work best for you.

You can change the keybinds in:

Options → Controls → Bindings

This makes the mod easy to integrate into your existing BeamNG controls.

🚘 Works with modded vehicles

One of the main goals of this mod is to make the H-Reg system universal.

You don’t need a special H-Reg version of a vehicle. The limiter works independently from the vehicle, allowing you to use it with BeamNG vehicles as well as modded vehicles.

Whether you’re using a stock BeamNG vehicle, a vehicle from the repository, or a heavily modified custom vehicle, the H-Reg Speed Limiter can be used.

🇸🇪 Made with EPA/A-traktor use in mind

The idea for this mod came from Swedish EPA/A-traktor vehicles, where a speed limiter is an important part of the setup.

However, the mod isn’t limited to A-traktors. You can use it for roleplay, realistic vehicle setups, testing, traffic scenarios, or simply to limit a vehicle to a specific speed.

For example, you can use it to turn a normal Volvo 740 into an A-traktor-style vehicle for roleplay in BeamNG.drive.
