A tribute to the iconic World Trade Center — now in GTA 5
Originally created for GTA 4 by HBX Works, this legendary mod has been lovingly converted and enhanced for GTA 5 by Emma. Featuring improved models, detailed textures, remastered observation decks, and upgraded surroundings — all designed to feel like an official Rockstar DLC. A respectful recreation of the towers that once defined the skyline.

You might say the towers look out of proportion compared to the rest of the map—but I don’t think so. The contrast between the smaller skyscrapers and these massive giants is just beautiful. It’s magical.

I’ve poured my heart into this project. I really tried to give it that Rockstar-level polish, instead of something rushed or half-done.

⚠️ Important Notes:
The interiors are not accessible yet. My focus was mainly on the outside and the tops of the towers. I plan to remaster the interiors in the future and make them into proper MLOs—but that takes time, and I’m working on a lot of things IRL. Still, I love this project, and I work on it when I can.

The optimization is not perfect yet. You may encounter:

Missing collisionsBugs and floating propsNPCs falling through the mapVehicles spawning in strange places

But don’t worry — the mod is still totally playable!

💡 Final Advice:
Even though installation isn’t hard, if you already have other mods, you might run into conflicts — especially because this mod replaces a huge part of the map.

🏗️ WTC Installation Guide
It is recommended to install this mod on a clean copy of GTA 5. You’ll need OpenIV.

📦 Automatic Installation:

Open OpenIV and go to Tools > ASI Manager. Make sure all ASI loaders are installed.Click on “Open Package Installer” and locate the wtc.oiv file included in the package. (Or just drag and drop the OIV into OpenIV)Run the installer and follow the prompts. Once the installation is complete, you’re ready to play!

🔧 What the OIV will install in your game files:

Adds a DLC pack named “world_trade_center_5”Automatically edits dlclist.xml to include it

📌 Note: Normally, this is all you need to do. But if you have any issues with the mod, check the section below.

📁 Additional Teleportation Script
To make things more fun, I also created a tiny script that lets you teleport to the top of the World Trade Center. Just walk toward one of the entrance doors, and you’ll see a prompt asking you to pay $30 to go up. Simple and immersive.

How To Install The Script:

Drag and drop the script folder into your GTA 5 main directory

And that’s it — you’re good to go!

❗ If You Have Issues With The Mod:
Ensure there are no conflicts between ymap files or other assets. These can cause objects to disappear or float unnaturally.

Common Symptoms:

Missing buildingsDisappearing objectsFloating props

✅ Solution: Check for conflicts and remove duplicates

Open OpenIV And Go To:
mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/world_trade_center_5/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/Open the world_trade_center_5.rpf file — this contains all the models used by the mod.Copy a model name (e.g., dt1_12_build1) and paste it into the OpenIV search bar.Look for duplicate entries (dark gray = mods folder). If there are multiple:Keep the one from world_trade_center_5.rpfDelete the duplicate from dlc_patch.rpf or any conflicting mod folders

🔍 Tip: Models made specifically for this mod are prefixed with “WTC_”. You can skip those — they won’t conflict with game files.

Verify Your:

YND files (collision)YMAP files in world_trade_center_5_metadata.rpf

✅ Final Check:
After resolving any duplicates, the mod should work correctly and smoothly. This process ensures fewer issues like floating buildings or misplaced objects.
