Description

This script mod adds a new immersive gameplay feature for Trevor Philips, allowing him to hire Chef from the storyline as his personal bodyguard after the main story is completed.

Since Trevor is the only character who has a close connection with Chef, this mod works exclusively with Trevor to stay true to the original GTA V storyline and realism.

How It Works:

Trevor can hire Chef in two different ways:

Phone Call – Call Chef, and he will arrive to Trevor’s location using his own vehicle.

In-Person Meeting – Trevor can meet Chef directly at the Sandy Shores market, where Chef is normally located.

To hire Chef, Trevor must pay $8000.

Gameplay Features

Chef will act as Trevor’s bodyguard, assisting during:

Police chases

Gang fights against Los Santos gangs

Chef Can Use Multiple Weapons:

Assault rifles

Shotguns

9mm pistol

Chef can shoot from inside the vehicle, making car chases more intense and realistic.

Chef wears bulletproof armor, making him much harder to kill compared to normal NPCs.

Death & Respawn Logic

If Trevor dies while Chef is still alive, Chef will remain available and continue working with Trevor.

If Chef dies, he will automatically respawn after a few minutes and become available again.

Purpose

This mod is designed to enhance realism and immersion, especially for players who have fully completed the storyline and want more dynamic open-world gameplay with familiar characters.

Installation:

To install Trevor’s Bodyguard for GTA V, make sure you have the latest versions of ScriptHookV and ScriptHookDotNet installed, as they are required for all script mods, along with any other necessary dependency files. Once installed, drag and drop both trevorsguard files into the Scripts folder inside your GTA V directory. Additionally, you must use OpenIV to replace the sandy_shores.ymt file with the original one in order to correctly replace Chef’s model; this step is required to prevent having two Chef models appearing at the Sandy Shores market during gameplay.
