Description
Aviation-V adds passenger airline and cargo flight jobs to GTA V, allowing you to run routes between just about any airports you want while adding ground operations around your aircraft.
Walk up to an airport job marker, choose your destination, select your aircraft, and fly the route.
Passenger Flights
Passenger contracts include a full boarding and arrival process instead of simply spawning passengers inside the aircraft.
Once your flight is ready, an airport shuttle drives out to your aircraft with the passengers already inside.
The shuttle pulls up near the aircraft, the passengers get out, walk across the apron, and board the plane.
Passengers will fill the available seats behind the cockpit and will not use the passenger seat directly next to the pilot.
Aircraft capacity depends on the vehicle you’re using. A Titan can board a much larger group, while an aircraft like the Velum will only take the passengers it actually has seats for.
When you land at your destination, another airport shuttle will already be parked and waiting near the terminal before you finish taxiing in.
Your passengers exit the aircraft, walk over to the shuttle, get inside, and the shuttle transports them to the curbside drop-off area outside the terminal.
Cargo Flights
Cargo contracts work a little differently.
At your departure airport, a cargo truck drives directly to its assigned loading position beside your aircraft.
Once the truck arrives, the cargo loading countdown begins.
When loading reaches zero, the truck pulls away and you’re cleared to depart.
After arriving at your destination, another cargo truck will already be parked and waiting at the assigned cargo area to receive the shipment.
Create Your Own Airports
One of the main features of Aviation-V is that you’re not limited to the airports included with the mod.
Airports can be created entirely through the in-game menu.
Stand on the runway, terminal, or location you want to use and save it directly into the system.
You Can:
Create new airports
Set runway spawn positions
Save runway headings so aircraft spawn facing the correct direction
Set passenger terminals
Set cargo terminals
Choose where passenger shuttles wait
Choose cargo truck loading and unloading positions
Set passenger curbside drop-off locations
Add aircraft to the available fleet
Add addon aircraft by sitting inside the aircraft and saving it
Set your own payment per kilometer
Adjust cargo payment multipliers
Adjust passenger and cargo loading times
This also means Aviation-V can be used with custom maps, airport expansions, and other locations you add to your game.
Green plane blips mark airports where flight jobs are available.
Keyboard and controller are both supported.
Four airports are configured out of the box, with support for up to 64 airports.
Liberty City Preservation Project Compatibility
Aviation-V is compatible with LCPP — Liberty City Preservation Project.
You can create airports throughout Liberty City using the same airport creation system used in Los Santos.
This allows you to create routes between Liberty City, Los Santos, Blaine County, and other compatible map locations.
Requirements
Before installing Aviation-V, make sure you have the following installed and working:
Script Hook V
ScriptHookVDotNet
HeapAdjuster
Packfile Limit Adjuster
Compatible GameConfig
These are especially important if you’re already using addon aircraft, map expansions, Liberty City, or other mods that increase GTA V’s normal game limits.
Installation
Installation is simple.
Make sure all of the requirements listed above are installed.
Open your main GTA V installation directory.
Open the scripts folder.
Drag the Aviation-V files into the scripts folder.
Start GTA V.
Your Installation Path Should Look Similar To:
Grand Theft Auto V/scripts/
If you don’t already have a scripts folder, create one inside your main GTA V directory.
Known Bugs / Issues
Shuttle Bus / Passenger Behavior
There may currently be some minor bugs with passengers getting in and out of the airport shuttle.
Sometimes pedestrians may take longer than expected to enter or exit the shuttle.
There may also occasionally be a delay before the shuttle releases the passengers after arriving at the aircraft or terminal.
The system should normally continue on its own, but the pedestrian and shuttle timing isn’t perfect yet.
I’ll continue working on the passenger and shuttle behavior and hope to improve these issues in future updates.
Jet Passenger Seats
The GTA V Jet model currently does not appear to have usable passenger seats for the boarding system.
Because of this, passengers will not board the Jet during passenger contracts.
It may require a skin or addon aircraft using a different vehicle base that has properly functioning passenger seats.
I’m hoping to find a better solution for this in a future update.
For now, the Jet can still be used for cargo flights, or you can select another airliner for passenger contracts.
Credit / Inspiration
Aviation-V was inspired by PilotV.
I want to give a genuine shoutout to the creator of PilotV. Seeing what they created and being able to enjoy aviation jobs in GTA V was a big part of what inspired me to start working on my own aviation system.
Aviation-V became my own take on airline and cargo operations, especially with the custom airport system, passenger ground transportation, cargo operations, and the ability to build routes around custom maps.
I definitely don’t want to take anything away from the work that came before this. I have a lot of respect for the creator of PilotV and wanted to make sure I gave credit for helping inspire the idea.
Thank you to the creator of PilotV for the inspiration, and thank you to everyone who downloads and gives Aviation-V a try.
This is still something I’m continuing to build and improve, so there will be more fixes and updates along the way.
