Pause Menu Library is a library for mod authors: give your mod its own settings pages, tabs and toggles inside the GTA V pause menu, compatible with GTA V Enhanced and Legacy. Your pages are drawn by the game itself, so they work exactly like Rockstar’s own settings. No UI code of your own to write

What your mod can add
Pages with toggles, sliders, option lists (“Apple|Orange|Banana”), buttons, text boxes, headings, stat bars and stat texts
Full-screen pages in the style of SETTINGS, STATS or Key Bindings, opened from a list or from a tab of your own
Key binding pages that work like the game’s own: keyboard, mouse and controller keys, Delete, Restore Defaults, and key swap confirmation page
“Reset to defaults” rows with confirmation page
Page headers, info panels, row descriptions, values shown row, greyed-out rows
Entries in the shared MODS tab, in SETTINGS, in GAME, or a tab of your own

The MODS tab (optional but recommended)
One tab shared by every mod, right after SETTINGS, so the player’s menu doesn’t get cluttered with different mod settings all over the place. Add one entry that opens your mod’s full-screen page; mods are listed by name.

Getting started
Open Developer SDK/api_guide.pdf: the C++ setup is two blocks to paste, the C# one is a single file, and every function and event is described there.

Players: on its own it does nothing! Install it when a mod asks for it – see Install below.

Player control
SETTINGS > Pause Menu Library is the player’s settings page: players can hide the game’s tabs, and every mod gets a page where players can hide any of its tabs and entries. The mod keeps running but gives player the control to manage their pause menu.

Requirements

• Latest version of GTA V (Enhanced or Legacy), older versions may work but are not officially supported
• Latest ScriptHookV

Install

1. Copy PauseMenuLibrary.asi into your GTA V install folder (next to GTA5_Enhanced.exe or GTA5.exe).
2. Install the mods that require Pause Menu Library as instructed by the mod author.
3. Launch the game and open the pause menu: mods’ entries are in the MODS tab, SETTINGS, GAME or their own tabs.

The Developer SDK folder is not needed to play.

Fixed a crash at start-up (“exception in PauseMenuLibrary.asi”) when a mod such as Rockstar Editor+ changes the game’s text code
When the game version or another mod stops Pause Menu Library from starting, it now logs that in PauseMenuLibrary.log safely instead of crashing
