I am delighted to present my latest collection, inspired by Qunwo Yan and the unique tradition of spring garden banquets that flourished during the Tang Dynasty in China.

Traditionally held during the Shanxi Festival (the third day of the third month according to the traditional Chinese calendar), the gatherings at Qunwo Yan were organized by noblewomen who transformed their skirts into flowing silk veils, creating secluded spaces for dining, socializing, and enjoying the beauty of spring. These elegant veils became a hallmark of the festival, lending a sense of intimacy and charm to the outdoor gatherings.

In creating this collection, I drew inspiration from three Chinese dynasties, rather than limiting myself to designs from the Tang period alone.

Key Features Of The Collection:

The silk veils are inspired by the flowing silhouette of Tang Dynasty Patsyun-style skirts.

The design of the wine vessels is inspired by the beloved, warming wine jug from the Song Dynasty, which remains iconic to this day.

The “Yuhuchun” vase from the Ru kiln is covered in a delicate sky-blue celadon glaze, reflecting the understated elegance of traditional Chinese ceramics.

The furniture, including tables, chairs, and a swing, incorporates elements of Ming Dynasty furniture. Since the swing was designed for a single person, I adjusted the interaction menu accordingly. Sims can swing on their own or ask another Sim to push them.

The dessert tray features several traditional Suzhou delicacies, including seasonal rice cakes with pine pollen, red bean-filled taotou pastries, and mint pastries.

In this collection, I wanted to create the atmosphere of a leisurely spring gathering beneath flowing silk veils—a place where friends can share food, wine, conversation, and the fleeting beauty of this season.
