Description

San Andreas (California) State Police was established on March 15, 1887. It was responsible for state‑owned building security, gubernatorial protection, patrols of state‑operated water infrastructure, and tax‑enforcement duties. To streamline fiscal expenditure, the agency was formally disbanded on July 12, 1995. All personnel and operational duties were merged into the Highway Patrol; its original insignia and organizational structure were abolished.
