RAGE Tools – GTA V Modding Suite (World, MLO, RPF, Particles, NavMesh, Terrain, Animations)
RAGE Light Editor is now RAGE Tools. The light editor is still in there, it is one section of it now. Around it: the whole map, interiors, archives, particles, navmesh, terrain, animations and a cinematic timeline, in one single .exe with nothing to install.

Open the world and fly it with the game’s own lighting, weather and timecycles. Right-click any prop to select it. Build an interior, paint terrain, edit a particle effect, animate a prop, browse and edit your RPFs, without leaving the tool.

What’s in it
WORLD: the full map streams in as you fly, 5,362 ymaps. Real GTA lighting, sun, moon, clouds, stars and weather, an hour slider or a running clock, and around 1,000 interior timecycle modifiers picked automatically when you enter an interior.
LIGHTS: everything RAGE Light Editor did. Point, spot and capsule lights with the game’s own falloff, cone and specular maths, live shadows, volumetrics, projected textures, all flags, multi-light editing and safe saving back into the file.
MATERIALS: inspect and edit any model’s materials and textures, with the shader parameters the game actually reads.
MLO: build an interior. Rooms, portals, entity sets, props placed and rotated in the viewport, then export the .ytyp and .ymap. Import an existing interior to work on it.
RPF: browse, search, extract, import, rename and delete inside your archives. Models open in their own viewer, .ytyp / .ymap / meta files open as coloured XML you can search and edit, and drag and drop works both ways.
PARTICLES: open a .ypt, see the effect play, edit it on a timeline, and add positioned audio emitters and an ambient bed.
NAVMESH: load and inspect the game’s navmesh, cell by cell, with right-click selection.
TERRAIN: paint terrain with GTA’s own materials, embed the textures, and export a .ydr that loads straight back into the game.
ANIMATIONS: UV animation the way the game does it (globalAnimUV0/1), plus full .ycd clip dictionary support. Open any of the game’s own, see every clip, animation, track and keyframe, retime, rename and delete clips, build a bone animation from scratch, and export the .ycd with its .ycd.xml beside it. A file you have not edited exports byte for byte.
CINEMATIC: camera sequences on a timeline and a render to video.

BRIDGE: send what you are working on to 3ds Max or Blender and back.
PROJECTS: save your whole setup, models, interior, folders, timecycle and camera, in one file.
Every section is its own scene. What you open in Materials is not in Lights, and the camera you leave in one is where you find it when you come back.

How to Use
Run RAGE Tools.exe. It opens in the World.
Point it at your GTA V folder the first time it asks.
Fly with WASD, R and C for up and down, X and Z for speed. Right-click anything to select it.
Pick a section from the top bar for the job you are doing.

Installation
Extract the ZIP.
Double-click RAGE Tools.exe, one single file, nothing to install.

Requirements
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
A legally installed copy of Grand Theft Auto V (Legacy or Enhanced)

Note: Nothing from GTA V ships in this download. The keys are derived from your own gta5.exe at runtime and every asset is read from your own install. The preview may not be 1:1 with the final in-game result because the Timecycle system also affects the final lighting, but it should be very close, and it updates in real time as you edit.
