Description
Wildlife overhaul mod overhauls the core spawning and behaviour logic to reflect the massive, cohesive herds and aggressive ecosystem.
ABOUT:
I wanted to do this mod, because previous mods of this is not updated or is currently broken.
I made this carefully while testing different areas and bioms of the game, checking that things are working correctly.
Detailed Explanation Of Changes:
- Grazing animals (Deer, Bison, Pronghorn) no longer scatter loosely across a field. They now spawn in tight, defensive clusters, moving as a single unit.
- Flocks and herds now share a “hive mind” regarding direction, reducing the chaotic, random wandering of vanilla groups.
- Animals in dense cover forests are no longer afraid to be near one another. Expect to stumble upon families of deer or packs of wolves huddled together in the brush.
- The density of wildlife has been increased across the board. “High Density” zones like the Heartlands or the Bayou are now truly alive with activity.
- The “spawn distance” buffer has been reduced. Animals exist closer to you, meaning you are walking through a living world, rather than watching from afar.
- Different species now tolerate each other’s presence more naturally, leading to diverse “assemblages” of wildlife in rich habitats.
- A single carcass now attracts up to 6 scavengers (up from the vanilla 3). Expect to see vultures, coyotes, and boars fighting over the remains.
- Scavengers have sharper senses. They arrive faster and from further away. If you leave a kill, nature will claim it.
- Scavengers are bolder and will now venture closer to the outskirts of towns.
- Aerial scavenger circles are wider and more distinct, expect to see higher densities of birds flying in packs, or getting startled from gunshots.
